This isn't just a book. It's our life.

— a letter from Cristian

When Mom first whispered, “There's someone in the attic,” I thought it was just her imagination. I had no idea those words marked the beginning of a journey that would redefine everything I understood about love, sacrifice, and letting go.

Whispers From the Attic takes you inside our home in Romania, where Parkinson's disease and dementia slowly steal my mother's memories while I fight to hold onto every moment we have left.

This is a story still being written. Because the battle continues. And as long as we're here, I'll keep sharing our truth.

Meet the author

Cristian: son, caregiver, storyteller.

Cristian isn't a writer by profession. He's a storyteller by necessity.

When his mother was diagnosed with Parkinson's, followed by dementia, Cristian made a choice: to stay, to care, and to document their journey with unflinching honesty. Living in Romania, he left his career behind to become a full-time caregiver.

What began as journal entries became Whispers From the Attic — a tribute to his mother and to every family fighting similar battles. His mission is simple: to remind the world that even when memory fades, love never does.
